Mission Statement: “to increase the number of Black Fathers that are actively involved in their children’s lives”

BDC intends to do so by providing:

1.   A safe space for Black men to discuss fatherhood and issues directly impacting the Black Community
2.   A medium for the Black fathers and their community to network and to bring their resources together
3.   A medium from which the media can draw from to highlight Black fathers that are making a positive impact
4    Programs for Black youth (from 13 Priority Communities) that empower them to create opportunities they might not otherwise be able to receive.
5.  Black men and youth who have been placed in the prison system the necessary tools to transition back into society successfully.
